Born and raised in McAllen, Texas, Sergio Saenz is a United States Air Force veteran, medicine musician, co-founder and Lead Pastor of Agape Church for Soul, Mind & Body, and founder of Sacred Songs.

Sergio’s path of service began in the military, where his time in the United States Air Force shaped his understanding of discipline, resilience, leadership, and the unseen burdens carried by those who serve. Those experiences continue to inform his work with veterans, first responders, and others seeking a deeper relationship with prayer, healing, and community.

Sergio’s relationship with traditional entheogenic practices began in his youth, giving him nearly three decades of lived experience with ceremonial and ancestral ways of relating to sacred plants and their traditional uses in deep South Texas. Those early experiences planted seeds of reverence, curiosity, and respect that would later deepen through prayer, service, his own healing journey, formal apprenticeship, and the founding of Agape Church.

In 2019, Sergio began working with Ayahuasca as part of his own healing journey. That experience opened a path of study, service, and reverence for sacred plant sacraments. In 2020, he entered apprenticeship under Taita Pedro Davila, deepening his understanding of ceremonial responsibility, preparation, integration, and the ethical stewardship of sacred plant medicines.

Sergio later became a certified psychedelic integration coach through Psychedelic School, studying under integration pioneer Shiri Godasi. His approach to integration is grounded in helping people carry their experiences into daily life with honesty, humility, and care.

As co-founder of Agape Church for Soul, Mind & Body, Sergio helps hold prayer-centered retreats rooted in sacred ceremony, live medicine music, integration, and community support. Agape’s work is interfaith, welcoming people to pray with the God of their choice while honoring the sacraments of nature with reverence and responsibility.

Through Sacred Songs, Sergio shares the music born from prayer, ceremony, and lived experience. His songs are offered as medicine for integration, reflection, and remembrance, inviting listeners back to the heart, back to prayer, and back to the shared humanity that connects us all.
