Agape Church Membership

Purpose: Members of Agape Church are encourage to seek out their own spiritual practice through the ceremonial use of our entheogenic sacraments. Members honor a higher power aligned with their beliefs in harmony and without undue influence among our brothers and sisters of all relations. Members strive to maintain a sound spiritual practice and strive to live mindful of our roles as custodians of Mother Earth. We are not held to any one spiritual practice, nor do we require specific spiritual commitments, rather we provide our congregation with a diverse approach to heightening their spirituality. Our members vow to hold a deep reverence for our sacraments, prayer ceremonies, rituals, fellow members and Self.

Before applying to become a member of Agape Church for Soul, Mind and Body, each member must review the Code of Ethics & Conduct below. If you cannot agree to each statement fully, please contact Agape Church prior to submitting your Membership Application.


Code of Ethics & Conduct

I commit to a continuous discovery of spiritual practices that is true to my individual beliefs, and is harmonious with my interpretation of the Divine Creator and/or Higher Power, the laws of Nature and All Relations.

I commit to openness in my religious beliefs and maintaining an understanding that the wisdom and knowledge we possess is not changeless, absolute truth.

I commit to supporting my fellow members in their spiritual development by respecting their individual practice, with the understanding that enlightenment is a collective achievement, not an individual one, and that we are all developing at our own pace and in our own unique way to avoid undue influence or discouraging their process.

I commit to protecting the sacredness of entheogenic plant medicines, honoring each in reverence and acting as their Guardian for the betterment of all humanity.

I commit to using our sacraments as a direct connection with the spirit realms and alternate dimensions.

I commit to the sacred use of entheogenic plant medicines, and vow to use their influence for spiritual gain in a ceremonious and reverent way.

I commit to defending my belief, and educating others of the spiritual benefits of entheogens in order to normalize the religious use of entheogenic sacraments.

I commit to respecting the boundaries of others to avoid interfering with their individual spiritual development or process.

I commit to abstaining from sexual advances and desires, consumption of alcohol and recreational drugs, and over-consumption of digital devices and media while on the sacred grounds of Agape Church.

I commit to peaceful resolve, avoiding confrontations with other members, guests, volunteers, staff or Agape Leadership and vow to bring any disagreement or wrongdoing to the attention of all parties involved and making Agape Leadership aware of the circumstance.

I commit to respecting all members and guests of Agape Church, regardless of race, religion, creed, political affiliation, sexual orientation, medical condition and economic status.

I commit to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of each member of Agape Church, and will not discuss the experiences of other members with anyone outside of ceremonial space after our prayer ceremony has concluded.

I commit to adhering to a reasonable dress code out of respect for the sacred ceremonial space and to avoid provocation, distraction and drawing attention away from the spiritual practices of the congregants.

I commit to respecting and honoring the spaces provided by Agape Church, to include living quarters, common areas, outdoor areas and event spaces, by maintaining cleanliness and keeping my space organized and free of debris and clutter.

I commit to respecting the property of others, and the property of Agape Church, and will not take any item that does not belong to or was not assigned to me specifically. I will return any items that were provided during the retreat that I have not purchased. This includes but is not limited to bedding, blankets, pillows, personal items, dishware, furniture, instruments or sacred tools used in ceremony.

I commit to all preparatory actions required of me prior to participating in sacred ceremonies or activities in order to gain the most spiritual and meaningful experience for myself and other participants, such as adhering to dieta, and all physical, mental and emotional preparation instructions.

I commit to respecting the sacredness of the space that has been provided for my spiritual growth by vowing to abstain from soliciting services, goods, or other community events outside of Agape Church in order to avoid confusion, allow for appropriate use of time and preparation for ceremony, and will not engage in such activities without receiving expressed written consent from Agape Church Leadership.

I commit to reviewing the Code of Conduct on an annual basis, and adhering to the principles within them to the best of my ability.
