Frequently asked questions.

Retreat FAQ

What are the facilities & accommodations like?

Our overnight accommodations for our spiritual retreats include a bed for each participant in shared living spaces. The ‘Cabins’ are lodges that sleep up to 40 guests in individual beds, with shared rooms providing 2-4 single or queen sized beds. Cabin & room assignments are same-sex, and each cabin has 3 available showers. There are also 15 individual showers located a few steps away from the cabins in the bathhouse.

Will meals be provided during my stay?

All scheduled meals will be provided based on the dietary restrictions that are appropriate for your retreat experience. If you are arriving early or staying an extra day, please plan to coordinate your own meals. If you have specific dietary restrictions (ex. allergies, intolerance, etc.), please let us know prior to your arrival.

Do I need to bring anything with me?

Plan to bring anything you would normally for a weekend stay at a hotel. Linens, towels, and extra toiletries are provided during your stay. If you have specific needs (ex. hair dryer, extra blankets, specific toiletries, medications, medical devices etc.), please plan accordingly. A list of considerations will be provided once you’ve registered for your event. We are also located just outside of the city, so anything you’ve forgotten will be easily accessible at a nearby store.

Can I take an Uber or a Lyft from the airport?

Both Uber and Lyft provide their services, and can easily be scheduled in advance for your departure. Please ensure that you have coordinated your departure and arrival with us prior to making arrangements to ensure you are not arriving or leaving earlier than suggested.

Will there be medical personnel present during my retreat?

Unlike other locations, Agape Church does not claim to be a Wellness nor a Medical Facility. We are a Spiritual Community offering traditional spiritual retreats. All participants will be screened to ensure their mental & physical safety is considered, but we will not guarantee the presence of a medical professional during your visit. In the event of an emergency, we are minutes away from several Emergency Care facilities, and will not hesitate to contact the appropriate authorities in the event of an emergency. If you have concerns regarding your health and wellness, please feel free to contact us prior to registering for any retreats.

Why are your retreats cheaper than other locations?

Agape Church for the Soul, Mind & Body is a registered non-profit faith-based organization. As a result, our retreats are offered for a donation that will cover our overall costs. Our growing community is also very supportive, donating their time through service and volunteer efforts, as well as providing financial donations towards our mission or specialized programs for Veterans, First Responders and/or Women’s Support groups. By no means should our suggested minimum donation indicate a lesser value, rather you will find we offer much more than a typical retreat. Our staff are highly skilled & experienced spiritual leaders, and our facilities are conducive for a safe & serene experience.
