Embark on a Transformative Journey: Veteran-Led Yagé Retreat
Join us for a unique retreat experience created exclusively for veterans and first responders, hosted at a private lakehouse north of Houston. This intimate gathering, limited to 15 participants, offers an opportunity to step away from the demands of daily life and reflect on the path that led you into service. Surrounded by fellow veterans and first responders, you'll have space to explore the experiences that shaped you, reconnect with what matters most, and gain perspective on the road ahead.
Discover the Depth of Yagé Ceremonies:
Experience two sacred Yagé ceremonies, Friday and Saturday, led and supported by fellow veterans. Used for generations as a sacrament for prayer, reflection, healing, and spiritual exploration, Yagé offers a unique opportunity to look beyond the obvious reasons you entered service and explore the deeper motivations, experiences, and beliefs that shaped your path. Through prayer, reflection, and personal insight, participants often discover new perspectives on their purpose, relationships, and the chapters of life that follow service.
Elevated with Live Music:
Our ceremonies are enriched with the emotive power of live medicine music, creating an atmosphere of reverence, reflection, and connection. More than accompaniment, these songs support the ceremonial experience and help participants reconnect with meaningful experiences, forgotten parts of themselves, and the lessons carried within their journey.
Integration and Reflection:
Friday evening opens with the first ceremony. Saturday morning brings a guided integration session to help process what surfaced, followed by a midday boat ride on the lake with wakeboarding and open water time before the second ceremony that evening. Whether gathered in conversation or out on the water, participants are offered an opportunity to slow down, gain perspective, and continue exploring the questions and insights that emerge throughout the weekend.
Comfort and Community:
Enjoy wholesome meals prepared with care and rest in the comfort of our private lakehouse retreat space. Surrounded by open water, quiet mornings, and the camaraderie of fellow veterans and first responders, the weekend offers an environment designed to support restoration, reflection, and genuine connection. Shared meals, meaningful conversations, and time spent together foster a sense of understanding and belonging that can be difficult to find outside of service.
The Story Beneath Service:
This retreat offers an opportunity to explore the story beneath your service. While the experiences of military and first responder service are honored, the focus is not on reliving old stories or reinforcing the identity that service required. Instead, participants are invited to explore the person beneath the uniform and the experiences that shaped them long before they ever answered the call to serve.
Many arrive expecting to spend the weekend focused on what happened during service. Yet the journey often leads somewhere deeper. Through ceremony, music, community, and time in nature, participants frequently discover a greater understanding of the beliefs, experiences, and formative moments that shaped them long before they wore a uniform. In doing so, they often gain new perspective on everything that followed, reconnect with their values, and move forward with greater purpose, connection, and self-understanding.
The goal is not to change who you are, but to better understand the path you've walked and the person you've become because of it.
